All of my pieces are handmade and one-of-a-kind. They are rustically elegant. Many of the tins I use are antique and show signs of wear and tear. In my opinion, it just adds to the beauty of the piece, which has had a history. The flower of the Flower Brooch measures one inch across. The leaves are one inch also.
This flower is from a tin that had a flower for each month that I assume was meant to look like needlepoint or cross stitch (two of my loves as a young girl). My husband Matt, who is very tall, spotted it high on a shelf in a shop in Virginia. I wasn’t completely sold on it but it was a bargain and big. I gave it try and it has produced some of my favorite flowers. This is the last of this collection, unless I find another one of those tins.
Tins and collecting them bring back happy memories. I love using tin boxes in my work, giving them a new life in a one-of-a-kind jewelry piece that hopefully you will love and enjoy wearing for many years to come.
All of my pieces come wrapped in little box. If you are buying them as a gift for someone I can ship to them and add a gift card. Thank you for looking! I am also happy to take requests for different color combinations so feel free to contact me.
