All of my pieces are handmade and one-of-a-kind. They are rustically elegant. Many of the tins I use are antique and show signs of wear and tear. In my opinion, it just adds to the beauty of the piece, which has had a history. The tin flower is approximately 1" in diameter and is hung on a 20 inch, 1.8mm sterling silver bead chain. On the back is stamped the word "BLOOM". I have always loved the quote "Bloom where you are planted" by Mary Engelbreit. I hope you love it too!
This particular flower is made from a tin box I found while I was living in New York. It was 20 years ago. I was going to cooking school and working in a restaurant. On the weekends I loved to wander the Chelsea Flea. I found this tin on one of my wanderings. It was only $3, I didn’t need it, but it was so pretty, a gorgeous green color with pink flowers and gold, a beautiful sailing ship and it was an Italian cookie tin (I love cookies AND flowers AND Italy!). I could not not buy it. I paid, picked it up and realized it had something in it. I opened it up and it was full of sewing notions, nice ones! Many of them I still use today. That day I got an extra treat for listening to my heart.
Tins and collecting them bring back happy memories. I love using tin boxes in my work, giving them a new life in a one-of-a-kind jewelry piece that hopefully you will love and enjoy wearing for many years to come.
All of my pendants come wrapped in little box. If you are buying them as a gift for someone I can ship to them and add a gift card. Thank you for looking! I am also happy to take requests for different color combinations so feel free to contact me.
