All of my pieces are handmade and one-of-a-kind. They are rustically elegant. Many of the tins I use are antique and show signs of wear and tear. In my opinion, it just adds to the beauty of the piece, which has had a history. The tin flower is approximately 1" in diameter and is hung on a 20 inch, 1.8mm sterling silver bead chain. On the back is stamped the word "BLOOM". I have always loved the quote "Bloom where you are planted" by Mary Engelbreit. I hope you love it too!
This particular pair of flowers is made from a tin box with the same print as the first tin I collected as a child. One day, at my best friend's grandmother's house and I saw the tin and complimented her grandmother on the tin. I told her grandmother how much I liked it and she said, "Marian, you can have that." I was delighted however hesitant because it might not be good manners to accept. I thought my Mom would be mad at me for accepting it however in that moment, I went against my Southern upbringing, which would have been to politely decline, and said "Thank You!" This time I could not refuse because it was SO BEAUTIFUL, so many flowers, so many colors. I cherished it! I will never forget this tin, her or that moment. I later found out that it originally held English Toffee. I love toffee and that "sweetened the pot" even more.
Tins and collecting them bring back happy memories. I love using tin boxes in my work, giving them a new life in a one-of-a-kind jewelry piece that hopefully you will love and enjoy wearing for many years to come.
All of my pendants come wrapped in little box. If you are buying them as a gift for someone I can ship to them and add a gift card. Thank you for looking! I am also happy to take requests for different color combinations so feel free to contact me.
