All of my pieces are handmade and one-of-a-kind. They are rustically elegant. Many of the tins I use are antique and show signs of wear and tear. In my opinion, it just adds to the beauty of the piece, which has had a history. The tin flower is approximately 1" in diameter and is hung on a 20 inch, 1.8mm sterling silver bead chain. On the back is stamped the word "BLOOM". I have always loved the quote "Bloom where you are planted" by Mary Engelbreit. I hope you love it too!
Because of my love of tin I get gifts of tin boxes from all the lovely people in my life. This particular pair of flowers is made from a tin box that was given to me by my metalsmithing teacher and mentor, Marilyn. It is a really beautiful tin that has deep rich colors of blue and pink. In this pendant I focused on the shades of pink and green. Those colors look beautiful with the turquoise background.
Tins and collecting them bring back happy memories. I love using tin boxes in my work, giving them a new life in a one-of-a-kind jewelry piece that hopefully you will love and enjoy wearing for many years to come.
All of my pendants come wrapped in little box. If you are buying them as a gift for someone I can ship to them and add a gift card. Thank you for looking! I am also happy to take requests for different color combinations so feel free to contact me.
