All of my pieces are handmade one-of-a-kind. Many of the tins I use are antique and show signs of wear and tear. I think it adds to the beauty of the piece, which has had a history. These earrings measure just under an inch across and they hang down one inch. They are sterling silver and come with sterling silver backs.
The carved gemstone flower bead is Yellow Jade. The tin riveted on the silver disc is from a tin that had a flower for each month that I assume was meant to look like needlepoint or cross stitch (two of my loves as a young girl). My husband Matt, who is very tall, spotted it high on a shelf in a shop in Virginia. I wasn’t completely sold on it but it was a bargain and big. I gave it try and it has produced some of my favorite earrings. This is the last of this collection unless I find another one of those tins.
Tins and collecting them bring back sweet memories. I love using the printed tin in my work, giving it a new life in a one-of-a-kind jewelry piece that you will love and enjoy wearing for many years to come.
All of my earrings come wrapped in a box. If you are buying them as a gift for someone I can ship to them and add a gift card. Thank you for looking! I am also happy to take requests for different color combinations so feel free to contact me.
