All of my pieces are handmade and one-of-a-kind. They are rustically elegant. Many of the tins I use are antique and show signs of wear and tear. In my opinion, it just adds to the beauty of the piece, which has had a history. These earrings have sterling silver posts and backs. The sterling silver disc is 0.75" with a smaller disc of tin riveted on. The carved yellow jade flower is 0.5". The earrings hang down 1"
This flower is from a tin that had a flower for each month that I assume was meant to look like needlepoint or cross stitch (two of my loves as a young girl). My husband Matt, who is very tall, spotted it high on a shelf in a shop in Virginia. I wasn’t completely sold on it but it was a bargain and big. I gave it try and it has produced some of my favorite flowers. This is the last of this collection, unless I find another one of those tins.
Tins are such a sweet memory of my childhood and my travels. I love using them in my work, giving them a new life in a one-of-a-kind jewelry piece that you will love and wear for many years to come.
All of my earrings come wrapped in little box. If you are buying them as a gift for someone I can ship to them and add a gift card. Thank you for looking! I am also happy to take requests for different color combinations so feel free to contact me.
