All of my pieces are handmade and one-of-a-kind. They are rustically elegant. Many of the tins I use are antique and show signs of wear and tear. I think it just. adds to the beauty of the piece, which has had a history. These earrings are made of steel wire with a patina and the flower is made of tin (printed steel). The wires are approximately 2.5 inches long. The flower is 0.5 inches across. The leaver back earwires are sterling silver. The earrings are very light and easy to wear.
These flower earrings are made from a tin that has memories that are near and dear to my heart. They are made from a Coleman’s Mustard tin. My Dad loved Coleman’s Mustard. One of my fondest memories is of him mixing up a batch on Christmas morning (just the powder with a little water) to have on a biscuit with Smithfield ham. He loved Smithfield ham too. I cherish these memories and think of Dad whenever I see this yellow can.
The earrings come wrapped in sweet little box. If you are buying them as a gift for someone I can ship to them and add a gift card. Thank you for looking! And I am happy to take requests for different color combinations and/or lengths so feel free to contact me.
Tins are such a sweet memory of my travels and my childhood. I love using them in my work, giving them a new life in a one-of-a-kind jewelry piece that you will love and wear for many years to come.
