All of my pieces are handmade and one-of-a-kind. They are rustically elegant. Many of the tins I use are antique and show signs of wear and tear. In my opinion, it just adds to the beauty of the piece, which has had a history. These earrings are made of steel wire with a patina and the flower is made of tin (printed steel). The wires are approximately 2.5 inches long. The flower is 0.5 inches across. The leaver back earwires are sterling silver. The earrings are very light and easy to wear.
This particular pair of flowers is made from a modern tin. It once held Scharffenberger Hot Chocolate. I can not remember where I got it and even though it was mostly chocolate brown I couldn't turn it down. Why? Because I love Scharffenberger chocolate and it is one of the few if not the only artisanal American made baking chocolate. Within the brown I managed to cut two pair of earrings out of this lovely orange with yellow stars.
The earrings come wrapped in sweet little box. If you are buying them as a gift for someone I can ship to them and add a gift card. Thank you for looking! And I am happy to take requests for different color combinations and/or lengths so feel free to contact me.
Tins are such a sweet memory of my travels and my childhood. I love using them in my work, giving them a new life in a one-of-a-kind jewelry piece that you will love and wear for many years to come.
