Antique Mother of Pearl Pendant Set in Sterling Silver on a Silver Chain

Mother of Pearl is a shell. It comes from the inside of mollusk shells.

This particular pieces are antique gaming counters, poker chips, or trading coins. They were produced during the Regency Era in Great Britain from 1795 to 1837. 

It's crosshatched pattern is hand etched and it is set in Sterling Silver. It hangs on an 18 inch sterling silver chain. I am so happy to be able to give this beautiful antique piece a new life in a lovely piece of jewelry to be worn and cherished for many years to come

The pendant measures 1.25 inches around. The chain is 18 inches long. If you would prefer for it to be longer I offer extenders tailor made for you in the length you would like. on the back is the linen texture. The perfect summer fabric to wear at the beach!

This necklace is part of the Collection of Calm. A collection inspired by my growing up on the white sand beaches of the Gulf of Mexico. The Mother of Pearl represents the white sand beaches there and the memories of the many hours I spent collecting shells. On the back of the pendant is a "sand" texture.  

My hope is that wearing this pendant will remind you of all things beachy - shells, sand, breeze, waves, walks, and most of all calm.
