Oval Mother of Pearl and Sterling Silver Earrings

These two Oval Mother of Pearl Trading Coin pieces are set in Sterling Silver. They hang on Sterling Silver earwires and have a sand texture on the back. They measure one inch across and hang down 1.75 inches.

These particular Mother of Pearl pieces have a flower etched in the center with a crosshatched border around the edge. They are antique gaming counters, poker chips, or trading coins. They were produced between 1700 and 1840. Mother of Pearl is a shell. It comes from the inside of mollusk shells.

These Earrings are part of my Collection of CALM. A collection inspired by my growing up on the white sand beaches of the Gulf of Mexico. The Mother of Pearl represents the white sand beaches there and the memories of the many hours I spent collecting shells. On the back of the pendant is a "sand" texture, further representing the beach!

It is my wish that when worn, these earrings will remind you of all things beachy - shells, sand, breeze, waves, walks, and most of all CALM.
